Meet the Team

Amanda Mead

Amanda is a lawyer and holistic business and lifestyle coach, specialising in coaching lawyers and barristers.  She is an author, entrepreneur and accredited in Mental Health First Aid.

Through her experience setting up her own award-winning law firm Amanda learnt the importance of self-care and reaching out for support.  This inspired her next project as founder of Law Firm Solutions, where Amanda helped lawyers manage their high stress workplace and banish burnout and change their lives to be happier and more fulfilling.

Now as principal solicitor of Lawyers 4 Hope, Amanda is fulfilling her vision of a network of legal practitioners who remain passionate about the law, fulfilled with their practice and giving back through advocacy for Care leavers.

Samantha Forrester 

Samantha brings a breadth of experience in Child Protection - having a worked in Statutory out of home care for 10 years and is a fierce advocate for disadvantaged young people and young indigenous mothers. Samantha worked with highly disadvantaged and vulnerable children and families, seeking greater support from government and other agencies to develop policy addressing the structural inequalities that persist in rural and regional communities. 

Along with her legal expertise across child protection law, coronial matters, family law, criminal matters, applications and hearings, Samantha has also volunteered in Prison Education Projects, Youth law and Community Legal Centres.

Samantha is in her final year of her law degree and through Lawyers 4 Hope will continue to advanced her advocacy skills to support and address legal issues affecting disadvantaged members of the community, particularly Aboriginal young mother's and parents -  aiming to stop Aboriginal children coming into the care system.
